Sometimes, little rituals send big signals of inclusion. Here are a few small wins that instantly foster a sense of belonging among staff:
Morning greeting ritual: A shared "Good morning!" each day sets a positive, inclusive tone.
Personalised festival gifts: Keep a name board or list so that on Diwali, Christmas, or Eid, each staff member gets a small gift with their name on it.
Shared celebratory meals: On birthdays or holidays, invite staff to enjoy a piece of cake or special treat with the family, even if briefly.
Festival bonuses with thanks: When giving a bonus, include a handwritten thank-you note or a verbal thank you that acknowledges their contribution.
